Define Your Beautiful

The inspiration behind this look, is about me expressing myself, me being my own number one fan. Looking into the mirror I see the version of me that I have been working on creating and I am happy and proud of my evolvement.

The colors represents bold, fierce, strong. The society we live in, makes us believe that in order to be beautiful we must be thin, or a specific size. This makes some women self conscious and takes away confidence. To be fit is good, it means better chance of healthy long life but I don’t agree that it means beautiful.

I guess my point is, own our pretty, determine your gorgeousness. Be happy with who you are.

Appreciating one another does not diminish who you are. In the beauty world or life in general , do we look past others work and avoid commenting because we think they will look better than us, gain our followers, get more clients, get promoted before us? Another upcoming artist reaches out to you to collaborate or just adores you and you refuse to acknowledge because you think what if I help him or her and he or she becomes better than me? These type of attitude shows we don’t empower, promote each other enough.

As I move forward in my beauty and fashion journey, in life and as a new business owner launching my first product, one thing I want to do more is promote other women, empower, motivate, encourage others. I want to be able to share works of other women, shoutout to them whether they have huge followers or not. I want to like their work and see the beauty in their arts not just because of attracting their huge followings.

I was feeling saucy in this picture with a lipstick called Extra Saucy by Dose of Colors.

My statement earrings are from noon day collection, an organization that supports people from all over the world and underdeveloped countries by providing jobs to the locals to create handmade pieces that gets sold all around.

I hope you look in the mirror and you are happy with who you are or who you are becoming. Never forget that in order for others to see the beauty in you, you must first see it in yourself.
