When it comes to colors of our makeup, eyeshadows and lipsticks to be specific, a lot of us are unsure of how to put it together and if it will look good when we do put it on.
How often have you bought a new eyeshadow palette and only use one or two colors from that palette? Are you guilty of returning to buy same palette because you ran out of the color you use all the time. I think it’s save to say most of us have been there. I am guilty of that. Because I had that comfort zone with colors that I was once afraid to step out of, I have a few palettes that I have two of them just because I ran out out the two favorite shades I use in them.
It’s okay to embrace colors when it comes to your eyeshadow. Learning how to pair colors helps you with this. Let your make up inspire your outfit or let your outfit inspire your makeup. Search the web for color pairing to get links to some sites that shows you which colors go together, for example canva .
For this look, I used three palettes from Juvia’s Place. I used the Zulu palette, the Saharan II and the Festival. Key is less is more. Pick colors little at a time and build on it. Also blending is another key to achieving a flawless, no harsh lines look.
For me, applying some colors to the lower lash area, gives the look a bright or Smokey feel. Don’t want the colors on the lower lash? Lining with a black liner will have same Smokey effect.
I usually pick a main color for the look and then match or pair colors to that.
My nails here, also goes with my makeup look.
Here is a short video/tutorial on how I did this look.
